SUMMER TAXES
- Summer property tax statements are mailed the first week of July.
- Summer taxes are due (without penalty) on September 14.
- Beginning September 14, 1% interest will be added each month through February 14.
- To receive a receipt, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope with your payment.
- Your check must clear or your receipt is void.
WINTER TAXES
- Winter property tax statements are mailed the first week of December.
- Winter taxes and any outstanding summer taxes are due February 14 (Summer taxes will have penalties).
- After March 1, all property tax must be paid at the Houghton County Treasurer’s Office.
- To receive a receipt, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope with your payment.
- Your check must clear or your receipt is void.
